[1] should provide at least some information, but it's very concise. Bugs and hints on how to improve that guide are appreciated as bug reports against "installation-guide"[2]. Bugs in the installer can be reported against "installation-reports"[3], but it's best to Cc debian-s...@lists.debian.org so that we can respond more quickly. Images can be found on [4] for VM, on [5] for HMC use (note that in the latter case only an installer kernel is loaded from the CD, the packages are still pulled over the network). I don't deny that there are rough edges in the installer. Help's appreciated and it might be easier in some cases to pull a disk image. Also note that the 31bit flavour s390 is going away with the next release, while the s390x flavour will stay ("wheezy" is the current version). Hello, Cameron. I've got a complete ready to go Debian s390x disk image that you can have. You just copy it to a DASD volume and bring it up. Let me know if you are interested. I'm sure this will induce Philipp Kern to rise to the task. However a quick search on this list will also get you Fedora - that might suffice for educational purposes. Especially if you are RHEL inclined. CentOS used to do a s390x build, but I haven't seen that in years. Shane ... Anyone have any good Debian media for a z9
We are trying to install Debian for z on a z9 and are running into issues with the installation. Our media is coming from the Debian site. Does anyone have any media they have uses successfully or any tips. Red Hat will only give us a 180 eval copy for educational purposes and we want to use something else that we can use unfettered.
