Share your experience

2020-11-13 Thread Rick Barlow
Do you work wirh z/VM, Linux, or virtual private cloud on IBM Z? Have you
made use of one of the
recent software enhancements? Do you have a new IBM Z where you have used
one of the most recent hardware enhancements to improve your business? Have
you recently created some innovative solution? The volunteers from the
Linux and VM Program of SHARE would like you to consider being part of a
presentation at the Winter SHARE virtual event in March 2021. We are in the
middle of planning the schedule for that event. Everyone has a story to
tell about a challenge or a break-through. We would like to have you join
us to talk about your experience. This does not require a formal
presentation - just the willingness to share your experience. If you would
be willing to discuss this, please reach out to one of the people on our
team.

  VM Rich Smrcina
  Linux Mark Post
  Cloud Jim Elliott

You can also contact me if you are not sure where your experience fits best.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Plan to join us at SHARE in Phoenix and SHARE your experience using VM or Linux on Z

2018-09-14 Thread Rick Barlow
Would you like to have a Winter sojourn to Phoenix where the temperature is
warm and it is almost always sunny? Do you want to learn about the latest
advances in Z hardware, z/VM, and Linux? *Come join us at SHARE in Phoenix.*

While you are at it, why not consider SHAREing what is going on at your
shop. Do you work with VM or Linux on Z? Have you discovered something that
enabled you to provide new and improved capability for your customers? Have
you exploited a new capability with Z hardware or a new software
release? *Consider
SHAREing your experience in Phoenix!* We have many experienced presenters
who would be happy to help you prepare. If you don't think you have enough
to fill an entire hour presentation, we would still like to have you share
your story.

The planning cycle is in motion, and the current submission deadline for
session proposals is Friday, October 5th. You can submit a proposal at
https://event.share.org/submit.

The SHARE Linux & VM Program team encourages everyone who has experience
with Linux or z/VM to submit a session proposal. If you have a success
story that you're willing to present? That's great! If you have a "we had
an adventure, and overcame these challenges to achieve success" story that
you're willing to present? Even better! Do you have questions, and
looking for answers? SHARE provides a week-long opportunity to interact
directly with subject matter experts from a broad spectrum of the industry.

"Hot Topic" areas of special interest for the 2018 conference series
include:

 - API Economy
 - Analytics, Machine Learning and Cognitive Computing
 - Cloud Technology in the Enterprise
 - Data Privacy
 - DevOps in the Enterprise
 - New and Innovative Workloads for z Systems
 - Security in the Enterprise

More details on the "Hot Topics" are available at the CFP link.

SHARE provides a great venue to network with your peers through both the
formal technical program and numerous opportunities for informal
face-to-face discussion during the week.

If you're planning to attend and have a story to share, please consider
submitting a session proposal!

Come and SHARE your experience!

2017-03-27 Thread Martha M McConaghy

SHARE in Providence RI is coming up this August and we are looking for

people to speak about their experiences with z/VM and Linux. You don't
have to be polished, you don't have to be a professional speaker. You
just have to have a story to share with your colleagues. Whether you do
a 1 hour presentation, or be part of a panel discussion or round table,
it is what makes SHARE special. Our call for presentations is open now,
and closes on April 7. You don't have to have a final product done to
submit an idea. For more information, check out this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwsoPe3YKNg=em-subs_digest

Submit your idea to http://event.share.org/submit .
