Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Install only Lubuntu-desktop
Aloha Rob, Of course you can install lubuntu-control-center if that is the name known in the repositories. You seem to have a lot of small questions, maybe it is best if you drop by on the IRC channel. How to get on the right channel and with what kind of programs can be found here [1]. As far as I've heard from the head-dev is that there is also a lubuntu-core meta-package, which only installs lxde and a terminal if I remember correctly. I hope that answers your questions. [Lubuntu-desktop] Mouse and Keyboard control problem
Hi, Using Lubuntu 11.04 the scrolling when using my Synaptics keypad scroll area on my laptop is too fast and jerky. I went into preferences keyboard and mouse. I can not modify acceleration nor sensitivity. I move the slider and when I go to click OK the window closes by itself suddenly before I can hit OK, and any changes do not stick. I don't know if this is a bug or a peculiarity with my laptop. In any event I'm sure there's a config file somewhere where I can manually make these changes. Where would such a file be located? Also is there a way I could activate changes without having to reboot? [Lubuntu-desktop] How to get an app to autostart in Lubuntu
Hi, Using Lubuntu 11.04. I put xfce4-clipman in my rc.local file hoping that would make it start when I boot. Though I installed this program with Synaptic it does not show in any menu and does not autostart at boot as I would like it to. I can start it via command line or with run Alt-F2... I think rc.local is the wrong place to start it from and it does not start with rc.local. I think rc.local is more for processes that need to start as root(?) unlike xfc4-clipman. In any event, how to I get xfce4-clipman ( a clipboard manager) to autostart and hopefully appear in the panel tray at boot? Lubuntu is not automatically picking it up. Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] How to get an app to autostart in Lubuntu
Hi, take a look at this entry. http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Autostart It should get you started on how to autostart programs per user. I have no experience with xfce4-clipman, but it should work for what you are try to do since you can run it with Alt-F2. -Matt On Mon, Jul 18, 2011 at 1:24 PM, Lee Gold leeg...@operamail.com wrote: Hi, Using Lubuntu 11.04. [Lubuntu-desktop] [Lubuntu-Desktop] Mousepad Problem
Hi guys: Back in 10.04 when i made a click with two fingers on the mousepad, it used to activate the right button of the mouse, now it acts like the center button. I believe this is a X.Org configuration since this happent in 10.04 when i added xorg-edgers ppa. I tried to change this with gpointing-device-settings but can't make it working like i want. Has anybody any ideas of how i can make it work like before? (my right button is broken :/ and i don't like the idea of carrying a usb mouse everywhere :/ ) -- jpxsat ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
