Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output for LyX 2.1

I posted a request for comments on lyx-fr and got one reply from Julien who wanted some clarifications. The only problem I have is that 'Table' is translated in French as 'Tableau' so that the 'List of Tableaux' coming from Optimization theory will be ambiguous with the standard 'List of Tables' translation in the Toc if I translate both by 'Liste des tableaux'. The workaround I found with 2.0 was to translate in layouttranslations as 'Liste des tableaux (TO)' where TO stands for 'Théorie de l'Optimisation'. Any other idea ? -- Jean-Pierre

Re: Last call for translations and layout translations review for LyX 2.1.0
I have a comment concerning the german translation changes regarding "Chart" => "Diagramm" (instead of "Zeichnung" in 2.0) "Graph" => "Schaubild" (instead of "Graph" in 2.0) These changes assume that both Chart and Graph are more or less the same thing, as used e.g. here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Graphs_and_charts. If you look for these terms in http://dict.leo.org, you'll see that "Chart" can be translated both to "Diagramm" and "Schaubild", and "Graph" can be translated both to "Diagramm" and "Schaubild" as well. Since both terms are only used in achemso.layout I don't think that the achemso authors provided environments for the same thing using two names. I rather think that "Chart" is used for graphical representation of data as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Graphs_and_charts, and "Graph" is used for mathematical graphs as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graph_(mathematics) (they are used in chemistry as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_graph_theory). Therefore I propose the following translations (and we should add an disambiguation string): "Chart" => "Diagramm" "Graph[[mathematical]]" => "Graph" Sorry for not sending this earlier, I was unfortunately too busy.
