Single numbering of multiline mathematical formulas

Does someone know how to make a multiline mathematical formula
be numbered only once ?

Hi,

Im in the course of editing plenty of mathematical formulas at the
moment...
The idea is to make mathematical panel not to affect the focus of
keyboard
input as far as possible. This is really annolying to go back to the
formula
manually every time the panel is used. "Use shortcuts" someone will say
- ok,
but why not to gain the funcionality of the panel as well ?

Encouradged by the previous feedback, i have two more questions:

1. How to center a figure vertically in the page ( in case it is one and
alone in the page ) ???

2. Is it possible to have a picture next to the text ( or text next to
the picture :) ) in vertical direction ???

problem with EPS flies

Hallo,

Using Lyx-1.2.0/PLD linux I experience the following problem:
Graphics in EPS format cannot be inserted into a document.
I had no such a problem when using Lyx-1.1 more then a year ago.
Probably this is due to the lack of some neceserry converters
or something similar, but i have no clue on how to get by...
I'll be then realy gratefull for any constructive hint :)
