pdflatex works with PDF images files, AFAIK.

IMHO, don't try pdflatex until you have more experience. You
can try:
1. Choose "pslatex" on Format/Document/Font.
2. Export to PostScript
3. execute ps2pdf your-file.ps
You can play with hyperref package for get PDF's features, for
example (on your LaTeX preamble):
\usepackage[ps2pdf,pdftitle={Title of %
%your document},urlcolor=blue,%
linktocpage,letterpaper,colorlinks=true]{hyperref}

Converting Lyx files to PDF
One more question I followed the information you gave me to convert Lyx to PDF files. But now i have some problems. If i view in PDF(pdflatex) it generates erros with the .EPS images i have in the book. If i view in :PDF only the signls of the equations (+ -=) disappear and it cuts also the las lines of some pages. But with the Poscript options everything goes pretty well. Converting Lyx files to PDF
Does anyone can tell me if there is a way of exporting Lyx files to PDF. Of course i can save the Lyx file as a PSf file and then use Acrobat Distiller in Windows. But can io do that directly from Lyx. Thanls for your help. Botelho de Sousa Portugal
