Thanks :) Predictably we have had/are having some teething troubles which those of you wearing deliverabiity hats will be very familiar with - a couple of DNSBLs had the IPv4 address listed as ‘DUL’, which it isn’t, and they’ve changed that (thanks to both of them for responding so quickly); we’ve got a couple of quirks relating to DANE which Patrick is looking into; and Google’s random-source-address retry mechanism is falling foul of postscreen, causing messages to be delayed on the way in. Notably Microsoft’s response to email from the new list IP was an outright block with a link to follow in the SMTP response, which we did, and the address was delisted immediately. It pays to watch your logs, folks! Please bear with us while we work through these wrinkles. Graeme ___ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop

[mailop] [ADMIN] List migration complete
Hi all FYI we have, finally, completed the mailing list migration to a new VM. Firstly: many, many thanks to Andy Davidson for administering & hosting the list on his own kit for all the years it's been running. First message sent to the list was from Andy, way back in 2007! The admin/moderation team is now (in alphabetical order): Andy Davidson Graeme Fowler Patrick Ben Koetter Simon Lyall We can be contacted via postmaster _at_ mailop.org should any issues arise after the migration, particularly with respect to anything TLS shaped. The list is now kindly hosted on a VM provided free of charge by netcup - https://netcup.eu - many thanks to them for their support. Please note that the list's DNS zone is signed as per Patrick's email dated 27/09/2020 21:16:48 UTC. There is more information there with regards to STARTTL/DANE, plus mention of DKIM, DMARC and ARC which are planned for the future. Assuming that this message appears, we're in business!
