Can we now have some QA results as well, comparing to 1.2 based image. Both 
N900 and N950 also, to see if there are differences.

[Meego-handset] New CE images Sep 15th

Hi,

new image is now available with version: 
mg-handset-armv7nhl-n900-ce-testing-1.2.90.3.0.20110909.81.CE.2011-09-15.1

This image has following issues fixed compared to the image released on 
Sep 13th:

- SSH now works out of the box
- Camera application is installed and it works on N900
- VKB is installed, however the keys are not working yet.
- Some meegotouchcp applets are added for settings.
- Icons are now reordered and placed to quick launch bar as well.
- meego-pinquery is included
- mce is included, however the config has minor bug in it and it doesn't 
start up properly (fix already available with zypper update).


Here is my revised list of top10 problems for this image.

*** Sage's TOP10 Problem list for 1.2.90.3.0.20110909.81.CE.2011-09-15.1 ***

1) dialer doesn't start (well isn't included atm but the patched version 
doesn't start)

- alterego is working on this

2) VKB is not working properly.
- arujo is working on this

3) Battery status indicator in systemui doesn't work
- There is known problem with kernel module and bme that needs to be 
looked at.


4) sms doesn't start but that is because of dialer AFAIK
- Should be fixed with 1)

5) BT has some problems related to power management.
- More info from stskeeps and topro

6) Packages application is unable to fetch updates because of certificates.

7) MTF is not scrolling to the end of lists on some apps

8) We don't have boot / shutdown screens atm.

9) New background is needed

10) usb-moded not working, not essential, but would be nice to have.
- phdeswer is working on this

The last image (1.2.90.3.0.20110909.81.CE.2011-09-13.1) can be updated
with following commands as root:

First lets enable SSH from the terminal:
$ su root
$ zypper ref
$ zypper install openssh-server


Correction to this, the new snapshot repository was not published so the 
ssh fix didn't get in. To fix the ssh manually you need to do following:


Add following line under the StandardInput=socket line in 
/lib/systemd/system/sshd@.service file:


--->8-->8-->8-->8-->8-->8---
StandardOutput=socket
--->8-->8-->8-->8-->8-->8---
