2006-04-18 Thread Rich Thomas
Sometimes it might be due to the frame (regulator) being bent -- it'll
slide down enough then when the motor torques it to go up it bends and
won't move. Glad it was just the switch.

Passenger front window will go down, will not come up.
Should I:
Check switch first...or take door apart?

Switch. They get very dirty. Take it apart and clean it.
I use the shower with a rag over the drain. That usually
captures any flying parts. (Once you've done a few you
don't need that level of precaution.)

Thanks goodness it's in the 90s...but driving to work at 4:30 am maybe

If the motor runs one way, then the switch almost surely is bad. Start
by cleaning it (soak it and operate it maybe 50-100 times) with contact
cleaner. If that doesn't work THEN you may want to try taking it apart
(disassemble inside a clear plastic bag to be SURE you don't loose any
pieces).

A rubber wedge or two will hold the window up!
