Yes. Just confirmed on local news here in St. Louis. @ airliners reporting red fire ball breaking up streaking south of Chicago... Rockford is north of the city, isn't it? Thank you Steve. Local news in St. Louis reported that Northern Kansas and part of Iowa has people calling in sightings. Hope it didn't come down in a populated area. Perhaps it's a Joe Dirt meteorite. Keep us posted. I just called the Rockford PD, They have had several reports. I have contact info to some witnesses, I will be contacting them first thing in the am. Rockford is mostly west of Chicago. The reports of it falling south of Chicago is probably from somebody south of Chicago who though it was closer than it was. This may be a fall I can hunt down. I am getting a little excited.
