 Dear friends,
I would like to discuss this important issue with you all in details.
As nokia simbian are out of market now. We don’t have many choices.
I tried my friend’s Samsung galaxy grand.
I could do almost everything with the phone.
But still I feel that touch screen phone is not as convenient for us
as the phone with physical keyboard.
I used the phone for few days. But I lost the charm of mobile due to
hardships which I had to face.
I can operate my c5 everywhere and in every condition.
But I couldn’t operate Samsung galaxy grand with the same eas.
Practically I faced difficulty in typing while traveling.
To note down any number while talking on phone was almost impossible
I couldn’t find how to deal with ivr while calling any service provider?
I haven’t tried any advance applications. But you can imagine if basic
things were so tough what to say about advanced usage?
It is true that we can manage with touch screen, but to manage and to
 enjoy both things are different.
 What do you say?
Please share your experience on this subject to help me and others.
 thanks.

Which doesn't has keypad we will call touchscreen mobile.
If you come to android, it is a different OS from google which help us
to run our mobiles.
For example, Nokia has its own OS like, simbian, or java, Microsoft has
its own OS like windows,ETC.

An operating system is the basic software on which the phone runs.
Android is an OS from Google, IOS is the OS that runs on Apple
devices, Microsoft has Windows Mobile, Nokia used to have Symbian and
they also use windows and java as well.
A touchscreen is just that, a phone without a physical keypad, and on
all the OS platforms mentioned above, there are touchscreen phones. In
fact, Apple iPhone is a touchscreen device, and most of the newer
android phones are also of the same mode.
As for a reasonable budget android phone with good configuration, I
would say Xolo Q 700 fits the bill. It started off with a price range
just under 1, but has come down a bit more since then.
Best,

You are right Salim. When windows was about to be introduced in early
1990's, some Braille magazines in US published negative articles about
windows with reference to blind community claiming that it would be
difficult for vi to use windows based pc. I am amazed by the reaction of
iPhone users who say their phones are much better than symbian phones both
from the perspectives of accessibility and wide range of accessible
applications apple has given to those blind users.
Let us migrate to touch screen phones instead of mourning for symbian
phones.

many of us are afraid from touch screen because mobile is an important
part of our life. It is not just for calling or sms.
Today or tomorro we will have to switch to touch screen phones that is
true. But what about speed? I phones are good in terms of
accessibility as i have also heard. But they are costlier. And i have
always found the discussion of android confusing.
I can type on qwerty as good as sighted person. I can type on laptop
as well. But i do not think i will be able to use touch screen phone
with that much confidence. This is my fear.
Even at this time i am chatting on whats app while typing this mail. I
think thats why we are crying for nokia.
I may sound psyco but i strongly believe that the golden days of
mobile using are over in our case.
