[MMouse]: joan of arc...6/28...and that ep...and piebald too
hey, i was wondering if anyone was attending the joan of arc show at the space in worcester massachusetts on the 28th...(not the middle east show the next night. im not old enough to get into there)well i was just wondering whether anyone knew what time the show started?i am completely lost and i dont know where to look to find out the time. i could probably call. but that would be too easy. and way too logical. ah well. and about that ep. dont you think that it would behoove modest mouse to eventually release it -- like sell it in stores. to just sell a few at shows is a bit ridiculous. i would expect that they may eventually release all of the songs on that ep on perhaps their next album, on the future 7", or even as an ep. i dont know. whatever. is anyone familiar with the band piebald? and was unfortunate enough (as i was) to pick up their new release ("if it werent for venetian blinds")..well in one of the songs (around #7 or so) they have stolen a braid lyric!!! "its not what you say-its how you say it"...this really pisses me off. because i initially really liked that braid lyric, and then for a band just to go and take it. i mean. it doesnt even come off good in the song. are they infringing on some sort of copywrite law or something? hm. -chris

Who's on epic: umm. ween..faith no more used to be..the doors...i think metallica was on epic for awhile. epic is warner's big label for slightly out-there bands...lots of indie rockers find their way to epic, including a lot in the last few years that slip my mind at present..correct me if i'm wrong and my memory fails me.. hey russ dude, why don't you post some yar's revenge mp3s. if us peoples listen to them and like it, we'll be more inclined to buy yr cd.. --bill ___ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. [MMouse]: Re: Black Heart Procession
The hype is real. I don't care much for Olivia Tremor Control, either, but The Black Heart Procession is the best thing to happen to music in a long while. Pretty songs that'll make you cry. Sort of Sparklehorse-ish maybe? With an emphasis on piano, GOOD piano, like early Tom Waits barroom croonings or something, but lonlier. Just buy the records...because you WILL like them. And no I don't know the band. (oh, also, it's ex-members of 3-mile pilot and clikitat ikatowi, which did very little to convince me but I thought I'd share anyway.)

[MMouse]: Goddamn!
I swear some fucking people just don't listen when I type! Track 3 of the tour EP mp3's contains footage at the end that does not belong there. The song is supposed to be 1:46 in length. Now people, please do me a favor and READ THE ENTIRE POST before asking any questions! READ THE ENTIRE POST. When I say I need three copies of the tour EP, it's because I have friends who want them. But you wouldn't know that if you didn't READ THE ENTIRE POST. I also said I will clean up that mp3 before posting it to my server. But you wouldn't realize that if you failed to READ THE ENTIRE POST. Thanks. *phiL* ___ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com

Re: [MMouse]: TOUR EP once again
By clean up do you mean take out the techno stuff that's at the end of the track3mp3 that I downloaded? It took me by surprise and I am wondering if it's really suppossed to be there. To anyone with the EP is there a Chicago-like technoie ending to "wild pack of family dogs"? thanks. --mike - Original Message - From: Philip Smoker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, June 24, 1999 10:47 PM Subject: [MMouse]: TOUR EP once again > I will put the tour EP up on my FTP this weekend. Re: [MMouse]: (no subject)
I thought the first one was called "one" and I know for sure that the new, second album is called "Two." Hope that helps. Am I missing out on something here? Everyone I know is talking about these people and I haven't heard 'em yet. Their show in Albuquerque is next week, so I might go just to see what all the fuss is about. I'm STILL trying to figure out why everyone is so in love with the Olivia Tremor Control album. What a bunch of goddamned noise! Ick. If anyone ever needs a 15 page paper on the evolution of mating strategies, let me know. Hey, I'll even trade it for a Modest Mouse Japanese Tour EP. Who else is signed to Epic? I can't think of anybody even remotely good. [MMouse]: begging for tour ep...
hey, i'd also like to put in a plea for someone to let me buy that tour ep off them. modest mouse hasn't played in l.a. in forever and i dont' think they plan to soon, so that may be the only way i can get a hold of it. you'll make an extra $10 cos i'm willing to fork over $20 plus the packaging & postage for it. i'm sure i could get it for $50 off ebay, but that's really fucked up. someone on here said "it's all about the music"...yeah...so someone who can & who cares, hook me up!!! xoxo nicole ___ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
