[MMouse]: 69 Love Songs
Oops, Nirra, I forgot to respond, I'm from Colorado, and apparently am the only such person on the list. Now, for the more important issue: Anyone on the list been through all 3 CDs of Magnetic Fields' "69 Love Songs"? This just shoved out Guided by Voices and Mogwai and a few others from my list of the best releases of 99. Amazing album, particularly considering that Stephen and company can do 69 songs in three hours with virtually no filler. Loring Wirbel Monument, Colo. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[MMouse]: Pavement/Chicago
To whomever mentioned the Pavement/Dirty 3/Calexico show, don't miss Calexico. they're really great - play a sort of southwestern tex mex influenced rock, very original and always a good time. I've never brought anyone to one of their shows that didn't leave loving them. To Amy (I think): And though I feel terrible for Isaac, I've lived in Chicago all my life and never once gotten beat up so please don't blame the city for his misfortune. It's a beautiful city with a lot of great people and like anywhere else a lot of riff raff.
[MMouse]: oh yeah, these too...
Jeremy Enigk opening fro Sebadoh, September 1996 The KROQ Breakfast with Beck, August 1997 The Breeders, May 1997 Karina
Re: [MMouse]: the best show I've ever seen

[MMouse]: wooder ice, YING-LING, and favorite shows
>god bless cheesesteaks, yuengling, water ice (pronounced wooder ice) and >soft pretzels. hell yeah!! i'm originally from the philly area but years ago moved to pottsville, home of the aforementioned yuengling. i'm now at school in dc. best showsi have to agree with the modest mouse shows at the pontiac summer '98. (the over 21 show was the best.) and #1 for me will always be money mark/modest mouse/beck at the troc a few years ago. also: 764-hero/built to spill at the black cat last fall, the make up at the black cat, and modest mouse/764 hero at fletcher's...mainly because they did the cool jam thing that eventually turned into whenever you see fit. love, hezi __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
[MMouse]: indie in unexpected places
hey you know how you were all talking about how you in lechmere or some other "completely -not - indie" store and you heard afghan whigs or death cab for cutie or something? so i know that they are climbing their way up the non-indie chain at least in terms of labels and whatnot but i was just in sears and "you were right" video by built to spill was playing on all the TVs that are embedded in the pillars there. it was fucked up ruxx
[MMouse]: poll results
and i know that everyone is so excited to find out these results too! California 5 Oklahoma 1 Michigan 1 Oregon 3 New Jersey 3 Seattle 3 New York 1 Texas 2 Colorado 1 Conneticut 1 Boston 2 Illinois 1 and Philly 2 twenty six people answered, and only two were from philly. hmm. thanks, nirra
[MMouse]: senor brock y his jaw
Man, that really sucks. Ouch. Hopefully it's not really as bad as we heard and he will heal okay. Maybe all of us on this list should chip in and buy those guys some mace or something. Or send a body guard with 'em. I'm thinking Mr. T, but he's uner the weather...maybe Calvin Johnson? __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
