re: metallica/fascism and the inherent connection therein. ..
without even getting into the mp3s & napster: right or wrong?
newsdebatespecial, does anyone else think it a little suspect that the
universities are being sued? exactly what position do the universities have
in this? on what grounds are they being sued? because, as far as I can tell,
it seems that the inherent "problem" as fascistica would have it is that the
universities didn't tell the students what they could and could not use their
internet resources for. . . that they didn't step in and dictate what the
students could use their private property for, and didn't monitor them for
such.
free will's tricky that way i guess. time to eradicate it.
and about shirts:
(as this thread happened within the last year or so) . . .
there is a shirt that was sold circa long drive . . . it says modest on top,
mouse on botton, and in the middle is a circle-thingy. think of it this way
- from the center of the circle, completely straight equi-length lines
extending out until they form a circle.
it matched the emblem in the middle of my old pinto wagon.
the shirts i have like that are a light blue, with light orange text/circle.
and there is an army green buffalo shirt with a yellow buffalo and yellow
text (it's my other mouse shirt).

and one last fascistica comment: i happened upon a pre- january 1st, 2000
copy of allure of my sister's, and in the back, there was a "what celebrities
are doing for new year's" thing. . .anyway, there was our friend lars,
stating "for metallica, y2k's just a big fucking paycheck . . . we're gonna
celebrate it with 80,000 of our closest friends." . . .almost verbatim. what
a dick.
