sorting doesn't work correctly with UTF-8 data

Hi,
I have mysql-4.0.18 installed and  entered  data with UTF-8 characters. 
When I use a Select command, mysql doesn't sort the data correctly which 
starts with native Turkish letters. Is there a way to fix it?
