Re: [mythtv-users] MythTV - Xbox - Xebian - black screen - bad
Scott, Unfortunately I'm told this morning that the screen is still black or possibly dark grey. They're not sure if it's different from yesterday but clearly it's not a MythTV menu when they first turn the TV on. They are still having to hit a remote control key to get to the point where they see anything. Any other ideas? mythtv-xbox is based off debian, and you can just update the mythTV packages within this debian install. The latest file on http://bit.blkbk.com/ is mythtv-xbox.0.4.4.tar.gz with a date of 12-Sep-2004 09:01. That file does not work for me connecting to the latest 0.17 release. I guess I'll starting watching them over smb shares or install FC3 on the xbox - hmm I'd really like to try that any way Has anyone ran mythtv on an FC3 xbox install? BTW yes you can install FC3 on an xbox http://www.xbox-linux.org/XFedora_HOWTO ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
Re: [mythtv-users] mythtv-xbox
Acutally there's a 0.4.5 beta on there from the end of October. I believe that works with 0.17. -Pete Listman wrote: Is the mythtv-xbox still being worked on? I used the beta with the newest version of Xebian, and it worked fine. -- n On Fri, 18 Mar 2005 10:34:52 -0800, Peter Loron [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Acutally there's a 0.4.5 beta on there from the end of October. RE: [mythtv-users] mythtv-xbox
I am running it on 4 Xboxes here without problem. You just need to make sure you run an apt-get update apt-get install mythfrontend anytime you update the backend server(s). RE: [mythtv-users] mythtv-xbox
I tried apt-get update and apt-get install mythtv but getting a bunch of dependencies problems - Then I get try apt-get -f install which also creates a problem with a different package. Looks like its time to just reinstall I think I might have to give the FC3 install a shot first just for the fun of it. Thanks for the replies I am running it on 4 Xboxes here without problem. [mythtv-users] Mythtv Xbox site (http://bit.blkbk.com/)
Does anyone know what's happening with http://bit.blkbk.com/ - the site for Mythtv on the Xbox? I noticed some little worm had a go at the message board a couple of weeks ago but it now looks like they've given the entire site a facelift. ___ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
