[Nagios-users] Separate config files

Is there a way in nagios to separate user permissions to see individual host groups. [Nagios-users] Nagios and Firewall/NAT
Hello list, Is there a way nagios can check remote computer that is behind a firewall. I would like to install nagios on a server that is directly accessible from internet. and I would like it to check servers that are behind a firewall. Just from implementation prespective on NRPE would be best for my, but I'd imagine I'd have to punch a hole in the firewall to allow nagios execure NRPE on remote host. Is there a port range?
