Resolution setting is important but I have scanned documents and been able to go to revisions without having to do any corrections at all. I've put in a Table of Contents, and made sure that each entry is a header (---+++ marks level 3 header). I think it's easier to read now. Take a look at the changes I made. On many pages you could just copy the formatting of an existing entry - it's unfortunate that this page didn't give you much help. The folder is made in .kde/share/apps/ScanImages/ which isn't that obvious IMHO. So if you want to scan an image you've already got, you have to move it into that folder. John Use it with kooka on KDE if you want a gui for it. Well I don't mind having one really, I don't mind at all, in fact I would welcome it. I have nothing against gui, but I don't like being dependent only on gui. So, I load kooka, it finds my scanner OK, But after that I never could get the thing to either, scan an image, or , load an existing image. and so therfore I have rather tended to neglect kooka in favour of Xsane. I wonder if Xsane works with OCR ? Works very nicely in combination with sane The only thing sort of unclear is that it creates it's own directory and sees only that. OK, done that, but again my CL sane is near nothing. I suppose I ought to remidy that. I will have a try later.
