Hi, How to specify that I prefer to place figure "here" in the following code? \startplacefigure \externalfigure[settings_window.png][scale=1000] \stopplacefigure I don't understand, why figures are encouraged to jump across sections and subsections? It makes no sense. Is there a way to prohibit this (e.g., flush all figures at section end, possibly for the cost of white space at page bottom)? At least I could see where problems are, instead of keeping an eye whether figures still belong to their sections. [NTG-context] ConTeXt Minimal Installer for Windows
New version of ConTeXt Installer for Windows is available (v1.4). It is a GUI wizard of small size (< 2MB), which downloads latest context distribution, sets PATH for binaries, and generates format files. Then ConTeXt works out-of-the-box. Together with TeXWorks tool, it takes a few minutes from beginning of installation to writing your first document. Works fine for all Windows versions. Known issues: On my Windows 8 machine, post-install 'make' fails, but it can be run manually then. Thanks to Mojca for her help. Hi, Wolfgang, I believe it doesn't matter what parameter is, because the files are downloaded successfully. I use not first-setup.sh, but my own Windows installer. One thing that is different from the last time I updated my Context (more than year ago), is texmf-modules folder in the root. So, now the path to fullpage is D:\contextminimal\texmf-modules\tex\context\third\fullpage while it was D:\contextminimal\texmf-context\tex\context\third\fullpage Maybe texmf-modules is not registered in the tree for some reason? Maybe, it needs a separate environment variable set, e.g. TEXMODULES?? The only thing I wish that there was more information about mathcolumn (/MC) command on the wiki. with \startmathcases ... \stopmathcases you get a curly bracket to the left of "...", see [1]. If you just want to have multiline equations, then \startalign ... \stopalign could be want you need (it's also on page [1]). Hi, Please, I need urgent help with page numbering! I begin my document with three "standardmakeup" pages, and expect fourth (normal) one to have number 4. But it is 1, whatever I do. In particular, \setuppagenumbering[number=4] has no effect. In other words, I need numbering from the very first page. There are two cases: 1. You want Introduction in the table of contents. Then you should copy section to another head, and setup it with number=no (have no time to test): \definehead[secnonum][section] \setuphead[secnonum][number=no] \secnonum{Introduction} 2. Hi, I'm making my syllabus title page with standard "bureaucratic" elements, like signature stamps, etc. Please, look at the attached png file for idea how it should look like. I started new page using \startstandardmakeup, which centered the text too. But I have problems with signature: how to reset the alignment to left, and, more important, how to place two \fillinrules in one line of text ("_day_"_month_ year)? [NTG-context] Windows Minimals installer is broken -- mtxrun does not work
Hello everybody and esp. Mojca, I started updating my Windows installer code to include "--extras" switch. Unfortunately, I found that mtxrun.cmd does not exist anymore and is replaced by mtxrun.exe. Moreover, mtxrun.exe is not working at all, complaining "mtxrun: unable to locate texlua.exe on the search path", while texlua.exe is present in the same folder! Please, help me fix this issue, because installer is broken for the moment. I thought this setup can accept only values in brackets; I don't understand this construct. 2) Why I cannot use Part (with capital P)? 3) I took the example from the wiki. [NTG-context] fullpage still not preset in minimals
Hi, Long time ago I asked about including fullpage module into the standard ConTeXt distribution. I thought that the answer was positive, but this module still not present in either beta nor current minimal distribution. I think it should be a part of standard package because it makes setting up page layout 10 times easier. A-ha! The solution that file name should be wingding.ttf versus wingdings.ttf. OSFONTDIR is ok, my installer sets it properly :) Thanks for help. works perfectly. I only cannot understand what the following do: \def\Check% {{\tfa\symbol[box]}} Apparently the font is not found. So make sure that TeX can find the font. Probably you need to check whether the OSFONTDIR is set correctly. Otherwise copy the to a place e.g. texmf-local en run luatools --generate.
