I installed GNOME on the Live CD version of Mint, with the same behavior as the outcome. And checked that it did the same in Cinnamon out of the box. All screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/OPENkdL It makes the box too small however many digits the page list is. Prior to this Okular was not showing in dark mode, and the dialogue box width was correct.
