I have a 12 month contract for a data warehouse developer. They will be
developing a NEW data warehouse. So I need someone VERY strong minimum 8
years’ experience.



*Top Three Skills:  *

1- SQL Server Data Warehouse development 5 + years

2-Create, administer, and maintain the SQL Server objects required to
support the Data Warehouse

3- Assist ETL team in developing source to target mapping.



*Job Description:  *

An Engineer should be closely tied to an architect, and just under their
skill level.

1. A self-starting Senior SQL Server Data Warehouse developer with full
development responsibility for a multi-billion dollar Global real estate
management firm’s Data Warehouse

B. Principal Accountabilities

1. Create, administer, and maintain the SQL Server objects required to
support the Data Warehouse

2. Assist ETL team in developing source to target mapping.

3. Assist Cognos Lead in mapping report requirements to data model.

Seeking one (1) data warehouse developer with demonstrated expertise and

experience in developing, testing, deploying and supporting data warehouse
ETL,

Dimensional database modeling, dimensional database development &
maintenance

using SQL Server 2005, data cube design, development and performance

management using SQL Server 2005 Analysis Service, development of complex

data management and manipulation using SQL Server 2005 Integration Services,

and use of Microsoft’s Host Integration Services. Experience with State

Government and health care systems is highly desirable and preferable.

Prior experience working at Iowa Dept of Health Service is highly desirable,
including

experience working with any/all of the following systems/technologies in the

*Required Skills*

· SQL 2005 including SSIS and Stored Procedures

· SQL 2005 Dimensional tools

· SQL 2005 Analysis Services including the use of MDX

· Net Frameworks (2.0, 3.0, and 3.5)

· VB.Net

· SOA, Web Services, MS Biz Talk Server, and Host Integration
Services.

· Experience developing ETL programs using mainframe VSAM datasets,

· Cobol programs, and JCL.

· Demonstrated experience showing hands-on ability to perform
development

tasks in all the above areas is required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Experience with Microsoft Project and Office Products

Prior experience working at Iowa DHS is highly desirable, including
