Come to think of it a complete sound card would be overkill I think. A good Digital to Analog converter like the xitel pro if it is still available would do the trick. And of course if you like hi fidelity audio I would suggest you do not encode under 320 kbps if using mp3 or if at all possible some kind of lossless format. I am in the process of looking for an album for a friend of mine, can't seem to find it online. I would like to find an MP3 download of this album, and I would pay for it. I still use a traditional hi fi for listening at home I would like for a few reasons to pack away the c d 's and use something I can connect to my hi fi to listen to music at home. Is there any secret to this one?
Hope somebody has a relatively easy solution to this one. I use Winamp as my main audio player. There are a couple of my favorite streams that use Windows Media Audio as their format for streaming. The problem is that when using Winamp to listen to these streams, I can't get titles to show up with either of them, and I don't remember there ever having been an exception to that apparent rule. I have looked through the configuration dialog for the decoder, but can' find no option that gives me the desired result.
