[PD] beat onset detector (in style von recycle)?

2011-03-23 Thread João Pais

Hi,

I wanted to ask if someone works/worked with beat detection in style of
recycle. That is, a patch that can analyse assymetric audio files (I mean,
files with "improvised" content), and suggest mark points to where attacks
can happen. Afaik, there is no external that does this automatically,
right?

Thanks,

João

Why not run through the file with [bonk~] and write attack times it
detects as metadata into text file or array?

that would be an idea, but it would be better to work/edit the fragment
before bouncing the whole thing. which could be implemented using a higher
patch based on bonk, anyway. but I just wanted to ask if someone had dealt
with this problem already.
