Re: Cordoba - Through the Gate
Thanks for all the comments! To me, the shots with the conventional and fisheye lenses complement each other. As a single photo, I prefer the fisheye view too. Re: Cordoba - Through the Gate
Nice pictures, so characterisic for southern Spain. My parents in law had a holiday house near the beach in Malaga and I recall having to repaint the steel bars in front of the windows each time I stayed there. I like both, probably prefer the fisheye. A beautiful scene, well captured by you. Paul > On Jul 1, 2021, at 5:16 PM, Bob Pdml wrote: > > Very beautiful - I love that style of architecture. That’s a very lovely house. I was amused that when I clicked on the picture that you took through the gate of someone’s house, a privacy noticed popped up on my screen about cookies. > On Jul 1, 2021, at 1:37 PM, Rick Womer wrote: > > Many of the houses in Cordoba have an atrium, some of them open to the sky. > Most of the houses seem to have gates (and bars on all the windows). > > A view through the gate of one house with a conventional lens: > > https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/2019/Spain-2019/Cordoba-Through-the-Gate/i-BGZV9PW/A > > Through the same view with a fisheye lens: > > https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/2019/Spain-2019/Cordoba-Through-the-Gate/i-7KNMnZv/A > > (K-5, DA 24-70, DA 10-17) > > Comments always appreciated! > > Rick > > -- > %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List > To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Cordoba - Through the Gate
Very beautiful - I love that style of architecture. I first saw it up close in Gibraltar where one of my classmates was the son of the chief minister. I used to go to their house after school sometimes and it had a very similar courtyard. I think the style comes from the Islamic period in Spain - I’ve seen the same thing in Morocco. > On 1 Jul 2021, at 21:37, Rick Womer wrote: > > Many of the houses in Cordoba have an atrium, some of them open to the sky. -- %(real_name)s Pentax-Discuss Mail List To unsubscribe send an email to pdml-le...@pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Cordoba - Through the Gate
Many of the houses in Cordoba have an atrium, some of them open to the sky. Most of the houses seem to have gates (and bars on all the windows).
