PJ, thanks for the comment. The story doesn't fit into a cropped frame, though; 
so obviously I wasn't telling it well.

At my wife's suggestion I brightened the "young" figure, and I think it works 
better:

More than one story here... I think this is a case where "untitled" 
works better as a title because there is much more here than the two 
figures - I think it is one of the most interesting and appealing shots 
Rick has presented in the past year... all the elements in this photo 
seem important to me

I love the juxtaposition.  The composition is a bit unconventional, but 
it seems to work well.  On my monitor both this photo, and the west maui 
beach that you accidentally posted a link to seem a bit oversaturated.
