Re: 50mm 1.2 (compilation)
I'm curious as to how natural that line or plane of focus looks to all of y'alls more experienced eyes? It seems pretty crescent or horn shaped and I'm having trouble visualizing what causes it. And is it possible we're just looking at photoshop enhancement done very badly? Dan Scott [EMAIL PROTECTED] >I can't believe the distortion in those last two shots! Hang the >resolution. I can't believe the distortion in those last two shots! Hang the resolution. Give me a natural appearance any day of the week. Unfortunately, fast lenses tend to have more light fall-off in the corners wide-open (as opposed to vignetting, which I'm not referring to) than do slower lenses. It's a "laws of physics" trade-off that can't be helped, I guess... Fred - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. (interesting info snipped) I will have to try out this combo and see how easy it is to focus. I have shot (and focused) in some pretty bad light (1/15 at f1.4 shooting ei2400) with my Leica without any focus problems, come to think of it, I don't know what I'd be taking a picture of if the light was any lower!:-) Isaac - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. Vertigo is right. Those shots give me motion sickness. I don't think I'll be zooming out to get a Leica and "the 'luxes". :-) TTYL, DougF - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
