Bug#717320: allow overriding logging options
Package: fop Version: 1:1.1.dfsg-2 Severity: wishlist I would find it useful to be able to override certain logging options such as org.apache.commons.logging.Log and org.apache.commons.logging.simplelog.defaultlog in .foprc. This is not possible for the former case, because LOG_OPTION is unconditionally set. Maybe you can put a if [ -z $LOG_OPTION ] or something like that around it. __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers. Bug#526096: does not respect Debian system configuration for web browser
Package: eclipse Version: 3.2.2-6.1 Severity: normal When pulling up the help, Eclipse by default calls iceweasel (or firefox or whatever), but it should respect the Debian system configuration, which would be to call sensible-browser. ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers

reassign 459560 gij-4.3 stop From the bug: Ok, but then a testcase isn't needed, as it's easily reproducable. Bug#365228: libgnujaxp-java - FTBFS: /usr/bin/gcjh: Command not found
tags 365228 + patch stop This bug can be fixed by changing the build dependency back from gcj-4.0 to gcj (which pulls in gcj-4.x and includes the missing gcjh binary). The build will then immediately break because of #368967, but that's a different issue. ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
Bug#336856: add remote and tools support
Package: libmx4j-java Version: 2.1.1-2 Severity: wishlist C-JDBC apparently needs the remote and tools support in MX4J, so I'm making this known here so I can track the progress. If there are reasons why this support is currently not included in the package, it might be worth adding them here. ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
Bug#336245: libpgjava: use upstream package name
Package: libpgjava Version: 8.0-312-1 Severity: wishlist As long as you are randomly renaming the package, shouldn't you use the upstream package name? That would be postgresql-jdbc so the package should be called libpostgresql-jdbc-java. That would also have the nice side effect that people looking for postgresql or jdbc actually find something rather than having to guess at Debian's arbitrary abbreviation scheme. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages libpgjava depends on: ii libpg-java8.0-312-1 Java database (JDBC) driver for Po libpgjava recommends no packages. -- no debconf information ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers

You wrote: I'm sorry, I didn't remember about your ITP. Peter, it would be a good idea to see if there were an ITP about jline before duplicating the job. Oh, I am surprised to see this. Normally, I check the WNPP list multiple times before working on a new package. I'm very sorry about the redundant work this caused. I will be more careful next time.
