A lot of times Apple doesn't want you to find out how to service old machines. I guess they figure if your PB 160 can't be saved, you'll buy a TiBook. I have heard so much argument on what material is in public domain and what could be legally done with it... But when the screen on my 3400c goes pale and if I need to open my 5300 to change the hard drive, I feel that Apple has to have that info for me somewhere. Well again I amke an offer to help and I get shot at big time, I had stated if someone wanted the manuals they would have to ship me a blank cd and shipping costs, but alas it seems that I am making money of the deal, no, I bought the cd like someone else did because of the fact I own PB's as well as older classics, and my 9600. So for me it was a good idea. I also have kids whom I have to be able to fix their macs as well. But since there is so much complaining I am withdrawing my thoughtless offer. I am sure a few of those who also have the lem swap list know I just dropped that due to a problem.
