Re: Vocalign project, how to use?
No, as I stated before, you keep the Audio Suite window open the entire time. Use your keyboard shortcuts to select audio. When you're done processing your clips, you can close the Audio Suite window. It's a file based process and not a real time effect. Hi Ramy, This is all done with the Audio Suite plug-in so everything is applied from one window. Re: Vocalign
So close, with the standalone version. But as you pointed out its hellbent on only allowing you to import tracks by dragging into the interface. I tried all the ways to drag and drop from the keyboard with VO but non of the places visible to VO seems to be where it needs to be dropped, nor does Right clicking and choosing open with or setting it as an external editor to open stuff from your DAW into it. Considering Dropping them a line and asking them to consider adding separate keyboard shortcuts for importing guide and dub tracks. > On Jun 3, 2018, at 10:52 PM, Slau Halatyn wrote: > > Exactly, and a Google search turned up the stand-alone first. Re: Vocalign
Yeah and if the Pro Tools video is anything like the reaper video there wasn’t any Dialog explaining the process it was just showing you visually. Fortunately the Logic video did have spoken dialog and thats how I figured out how to use it. It appears to be the same in most DAWS from what I can tell. 1) Put Vocalign on an insert of the track you want to Align (called the dub track) 2) Side chain that instance of Vocalign to the track you want to align it to (called the Guide Track) 3) Put the playhead shortly before the area that you want to align , 4) Click capture and then start playback in the DAW. 5) Once it plays past where you wanted to align, press stop. 6) Press the edit button to let the program analyze and align the audio. 7) Press play again to hear the audio aligned. At this point you can change settings ie say from normal flexibility to high flexibility if you want the dub to be tighter or say to low flexibility if the alignment didn’t quite work the way you wanted and you want to allow for greater flex with the alignment. Or if you just want the alignment to be a little looser. Each time you change a setting you will have to press edit again to reprocess. > On Jun 3, 2018, at 10:52 PM, Slau Halatyn wrote: > > Exactly, and a Google search turned up the stand-alone first. Re: Vocalign
Yeah was debating scripting clicking the edit and capture buttons in Logic or Reaper as my PT license has lapse (or I would of tried it in PT by now myself) but I been considering renewing it given some of the new features rolled out earlier this year. if the edit and capture buttons were visible in PT that would of just put it over the top. Unfortunately access to patient eyes is limited at the moment and given that I haven’t had a chance to script anything with KM yet I don’t know how long it will take to get right. I'd venture to say that it would be easy to create a script that could click the Analyze button. Slau On Jun 1, 2018, at 1:26 PM, Steve Martin wrote: Hey Guys, Any of you tried Vocalign in pro tools? Re: Vocalign
Hi Steve, I used it years ago and it worked well but that was with outSpoken so I have no clue whether that's still the case. It's Audio Suite so it largely relies on the selection of one clip, pressing an analysis button which is probably not necessarily visible, selecting the second clip and processing. I'd venture to say that it would be easy to create a script that could click the Analyze button.
