Hi Paolo, In my experience the plugin only works with graphs in WGS84 (or any lat/lon system). And even then it's often a pain. Hi Sergey, Topological tolerance does not affect the binding point. Topological tolerance is a distance between two nodes layer as one node a graph. You need to set topology tolerance if you see message Can't find path, but not Start point no on the road. I see. Now I understand better which values to set to make it work when it complains Can't find path. How do you fix Start point no on the road? Is it always because of CRS troubles (layer CRS doesn't equal project CRS)? Is this confirmed? Why is it a pain? Can something be done for it? With Sergey's new information, I was able to make it work for other CRS too. The painful means that I sometimes still get Start point no on the road. I'm not completely sure yet what causes it. Another problem is that it gets very slow for city-wide (Vienna in my case) road networks. But that's because it has to build the topology I guess. Hi there You can use GRASS within Quantum GIS. GRASS has got several hydrological/hydraulic model flow routes through Digital Terrain Model. Here is a link to some of the simulation modules within GRASS: http://grass.fbk.eu/intro/modelintegration.html If you want detail simulation tool to calculate depth, velocity, hazard, etc based on shallow water equations, you can use AnuGA: http://datamining.anu.edu.au/ We wrote a plugin for mesh generation within QGIS, so that you can use QGIS as pre-processing tool: http://sourceforge.net/projects/anuga-gai/ Hope that helps Saber On Thu, 2011-05-05 at 13:01 -0500, MONJARAZ wrote: Good morning I am new in qgis use and besides bad with the English language, I want to know if somebody can help me for knowledge like doing the analysis of flow of water as from an image of satellite. I see. Now I understand better which values to set to make it work when it complains Can't find path. How do you fix Start point no on the road? Is it always because of CRS troubles (layer CRS doesn't equal project CRS)? Only if 'on the fly transformation' disabled. But Road graph plugin hasother problem (Any people talk about it). I need example project anddata set to fix it. Yes. 99.9% time it is build topology. I not use topology cache in this step. It can create poorly reproducible bugs.
