[Qgis-user] QGIS doesn’t search for shp vector layers
In the past, when I went to open a vector layer, QGISautomatically found shape files. Then I changed the option to MapInfo to opensome MapInfo files. Now the browse dialogue doesn’t give me an option to find .shpfiles. If I navigate to a folder including shape files, the open vector browse boxshows it as empty. I can manually find the shape files by typing *.shp into thedialogue box (open vector\browse) and then it shows them, but next time I go toopen another vector layer it reverts to the last file format I set (MapInfo)and I have to keep typing in *.shp to get it to hunt for shape files. Thedialogue box doesn’t have an option to search for all file formats nor anoption to go back to searching for ESRI shape files. How can I make it go backto the default behaviour where it automatically found .shp files without mehaving to type in *.shp every time I want to find a shape file? I am using QGIS2.18.2.___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
[Qgis-user] New QGIS user groups registered in 2017?
Hi all Have you started a country level QGIS user group in the last year? I will shortly be putting out a call for nominations for new voting members and we need to know about any new user groups that were formed in this year as under our governance system we appoint a voting member from the community for every country user group representative. This process is explained somewhat in this older blog post: http://blog.qgis.org/2016/05/04/call-for-nominations-for-voting-members-of-the-qgis-org-board/ If you have registered a new country group, please forward me details of: * The country your user group represents * The URL for your country user group’s web site * The name of your country user group’s representative * The email address of your country user group’s representative Currently I am aware of the new groups created for Norway, South Africa, France, Sweden and Georgia. Re: [Qgis-user] Processing Model issue
Nyall, Thanks for getting back. If the steps in the model are done one after the other outside of model, the process works. Ive not run saga directly from the command line. Regards, Richard. We have developed a Processing model on QGIS 2.8, which interpolates a raster from points and subtracts the resultant from a DEM to produce a depth raster. This tool works flawlessly in 2.8, but in 2.14, 2.18 and 2.99 it fails at the Raster Calculator stage, producing the same error. I have ran this using both GDAL and SAGA raster calculators, but no luck. See attached error Logs. I would appreciate any help in this. Regards, Seems like the error is coming from SAGA: Error: grid: memory allocation failed [1545.94mb] If you run the SAGA command manually (via the command line), does it work? Maybe the error is due to a newer SAGA version, and unrelated to QGIS.
