[QUAD-L] Insurence?
I'm on Medicare but switched to a Medicare Replacement Program. They just cover a bit more. But I still have 20% co-pay on durable goods, Wheelchairs, etc. Does anyone know of a supplemental insurance that can cover the extra 20%? That's a lot when getting a new chair. Greg

Hey Greg, I know we spoke of this before but can you tell me the name of the 4 companies? I ASSUME they are the Medi-gap insurances... right? Having senior moments at 41 but please email the 4 companies if you would. Thanks in advance! I just got qualified for Medicare and in my county in AZ once your on Medicare, there are 4 Insurance Companies that you can join. You can stay on Medicare or pick one of the Insurance Companies. They have better coverage and they can't say no. I've been here for 9 months with my state covered insurance from another state thinking I'm on an extended vacation. But now I'm good. But what a hassle, going to the doc for the first time to get everything set up... supplies, meds, etc. What's cool is all supplies are covered 100%, except for the blue-pads (not covered at all) I use for my B-P. But durable medical equipment I have to cover 20%. And prescriptions are only $10, but only generic. I have to go in again next week to get him to ok my pain meds, he wanted to get my old records first. Plus I want to see if they will cover some velcro universal cuffs and a writing pen holder that I put my fork in instead of a pen... works great. It looks like they will be pretty good and cover lots of things. Plus there is no $500 a month premium I've been paying. G. Greg

Hi Greg, Great news! I'm sure you're feeling a lot better after getting that taken care of. Are you just on Medicare or are you duel eligible with Medicaid? Stay strong.
