Quadra 605 Problem - Fixed!

Just to let everyone know... two problems with the 605
were found (bad RAM, PRAM battery). Fixed. Boots. All
better now. Happy.

Quadra 605 Question

I just keep getting the Macs here...
Was gifted recently with 8 machines from my place of
employment (they were being retired, and I didn't want
to see them trashed), and included in this mixed lot
was a Quadra 605. It chimes, but will not boot. All I
get is a black screen. I'm going to assume that this
is one of those irksome PRAM battery problems, but I
just want to be sure before I go any further. Also, if
it is a battery issue, is there a way to get it to
boot without one (some trick I might not be aware of)?

Peter,
You lost me somewhere. This is not a G3 machine (far
from it... remember, Quadlist?), just an ol' Quadra
650 with PDS. What does the "dongle" do, precisely?
Are you saying that I need to wire a video out from
the port on the back of the card? If so, any idea what
the pinouts are?
I am in posession of 6 '040 Macs right now. Would the
card work better in a Quadra 800? Or, if someone out
there has the appropriate adapter, a Centris 660AV?
Any advice is appreciated...

DOS Card In Quadra 650 - Where's The PC Window?

help!
I've installed a DOS card from a gutted 6100 into a
Quadra. I've never used one before. Since I do not
have the "dongle" for the wee beastie, I figured I
could just use the Mac monitor with PC running in a
window. 
Well, it doesn't. It says that PC is running, but
aside from a slight dimming, I get nothin'. If I
haven't said it before...
Help!

Can't find a PPC upgrade adapter. I should be more
specific. This is a Centris 660AV that is being turned
into my main astronomy and video work machine (nothing
to intense, just basic stuff). The DOS software that's
to be run on it is actually Windows 95 (not really
DOS, obviously) with some lower end astronomical
software packages that I use that are not available
for the Mac. And due to an impending move, I can't add
another computer to my burgeoning collection (8, not
counting portables!). A Quadra 650 would have been
choice, but alas... whole 'nother 'puter there.
I am aware of some problems with  sound and DOS cards
in the AV machines due to the whole DSP arrangement;
not a biggie. 
Besides, at this point, it's all moot as the card is
now out of my possesion. 
By the way, thanks to those of you here who responded.
I was worried that the DOS cards were getting scarce
(based on how much that guy soaked me for!).

Needed: Houdini/DOS card!

Howdy Y'all!
Been bamboozled. Bought what was supposed to be a 610
DOS card... was a 6100 DOS card instead. Sold it to
work, but still need a 610 DOS card for my Centris.
Anyone know a source?
