Go to the Gamba web page - http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/

There are a lot of good bootable disk images there. If you have to DL them
to a PC, there is a link to tell you how to get it to a Mac. I used the
super75 boot disk to reformat my HD when nothing else worked.

Do you have an external CD-ROM available? If you have a system CD and use
the external CD-ROM to boot the machine, you should be able to format the
internal HD.

go to the apple archive and down load a boot-disc file for 7 and the format
from that or connect an external cdrom to it and boot from an os cd if you
have one then re-install from scratch.

How to format HD on LC III

I just got old LCIII loaded with OS 7.5.
I would like to format HD as it is has many files with
passwords
and powertalk with password.   OS won't let me erase disk
as it has system files - how can I do it ?
