[SlimDevices: Radio] Auto-On macro? / Reset when NAS off
Squeezebox Radio + ReadyNAS NV+ I have my NAS set to turn off every night, and re-start in the morning. When the NAS goes off, the Radio seems to forget what it was doing. This is true even when the Radio is off before the NAS, and on after. So, every day when I turn on the Radio, it shows a blank 'Now Playing' screen, and I have to reselect a list. I virtually always have the Radio set to Random Albums, and I've added that choice to the home screen, so it's not hard to get to, but I'd like to make it even easier. I'd like to set up the Radio so that whenever I turn it on, it heads straight to 'Random Album'. I've read this post (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69864), and it seems I could use the KidsPlay plugin to redefine one of the preset buttons to both turn the Radio on and go to Random Album. But with only six presets, I'd like to keep them for radio stations. It would certainly be more convenient to use the Squeezebox to enter ratings - casually reach over and press a few buttons while listening (or perhaps do it through the browser, though that's less convenient). If need be, however, I'm prepared to do it through MediaMonkey (though I don't use that to -listen- to music. I've already used MM to set quite a number of ratings. It was my understanding that these were stored in a fairly standard tag (known as "popularimeter" or something similar). [SlimDevices: Radio] How to downgrade from 7.5 to 7.4.1
I installed a version of Squeezecenter 7.5 on my Squeezebox Radio and ReadyNAS NV+, because 7.4.1 was also not ready. Ironically, the next day, 7.4.1 for ReadyNAS was available. I've had some problems with 7.5.1 (album art, very slow response time, some freezing), and think it might be better to install the now completed 7.4.1. How would I do so? [SlimDevices: Radio] Album art disappeared
Just bought and installed Squeezebox Radio. Can't yet use for music library, because no updated ReadyNAS software available. I have, however, set up radio stations, plus Pandora and LastFM. 1. Yesterday (day 1), Pandora or Last (can't recall which) quit playing. 2. I checked the radio, pressed play, and music started up again. 3. However, the display was frozen on the last song/album art (playing when it froze). 4. Changing stations had no effect. 5. Hard power off (holding down power button) partially restored the display. 6. Now, menus are accessible, but there's no album art. Presets for Pandora and Last work, and music plays, but the display of "Now Playing" says "Nothing."
