[RBW] Re: odd request: sweater

2010-10-10 Thread Beth H
Ryan -- You're welcome!
I first "discovered" ToP at age 9 (ca. 1972) right after we'd moved to
the Bay Area and they were just starting to get airplay on KFRC for
their one and only single, "You're Still a Young Man". I rode my bike
all over Walnut Creek -- Riv HQ is not far from the apartment building
I lived in, now converted to cheesy condos -- and dreamed of growing
up to become a funk musician. That led to a million years of school
bands (and band geekdom), drum corps and twenty years of gigging in
clubs and pit orchestras. How I got into bikes professionally is
another story.

Off to the Oregon Handbuilt Bike Show this afternoon, to see what it
looks like when you combine science, art and craft in one room. I'll
take pix. (Riv content -- riding the All-Rounder there, clad in my
lovely, rumpled MUSA shirt.)
