Re: Review Request 108516: Do not hardcode site-packages for the python libdir.
Hi Need someone to check when installing into /usr. I've tested the python patch on kde 4.9.98 and installed it into /usr/lib64/ and haven't had anything go wrong... yet ;) --- On Tue, 1/22/13, Albert Astals Cid aa...@kde.org wrote: From: Albert Astals Cid aa...@kde.org Subject: Re: Review Request 108516: Do not hardcode site-packages for the python libdir. I wouldn't mind seening it in master if you think that fixing the problems that might arise in the future should not be hard. So could this as a half-shipit. I'd like Kevin, Luca, Christophe to comment here too, but we can't all get what we want :D - Albert On January 21st, 2013, 11 a.m. UTC, Michael Jansen wrote: Review request for Build System, Release Team and Kevin Kofler. By Michael Jansen. Updated Jan. 21, 2013, 11 a.m. Description Do not hardcode site-packages for the python libdir. Testing Not much. Works the same as before. Need someone to check on debian. Need someone to check when installing into /usr. I think the strequal to check if PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES_INSTALL_DIR is different from PYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES_DIR is not optimal but good enough. The only problem could be a trailing slash or different case on windows. Any hints to improve it? The number of developers who need to be hit by a bus for the project to be destroyed. 1 means there's a single point of failure (you), i.e., whenever you aren't available for whatever reason (such as the past few days), everything grinds to a halt. As if there isn't enough bickering and finger pointing already. There is plenty of blame to go around. Re: KDE 4.8 RC1 (4.7.95) tarballs uploaded (try#1)
Hi, I've built kde 4.7.95 against qt 4.8 and haven't had any issues. Infact, it ran a little faster and a lot more reliably when built against 4.8 than it ever did for me against 4.7.4. I didn't use any patches either. I wasn't aware that there was one, let alone that it was needed. Good luck. --- On Mon, 12/26/11, Phil Miller ph...@chakra-project.org wrote: From: Phil Miller ph...@chakra-project.org Subject: Re: KDE 4.8 RC1 (4.7.95) tarballs uploaded (try#1) To: KDE release coordination release-team@kde.org Date: Monday, December 26, 2011, 9:21 AM KDE has some issues with qt-4.8.0. Re: KDE 4.8 RC1 (4.7.95) tarballs uploaded (try#1)
Hello again I read through the Chakra thread. Very interesting. I've not experienced any of those bugs. I have two boxes with qt 4.8. As for the distro, I have one multilib Gentoo install and one LFS no multilib. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Hi I'm wondering where I can download the kdenetwork, kdemultimedia, and kdegraphics 4.6.95 tarballs at? I've got everything else but those. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Harry___ release-team mailing list release-team@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/release-team
