  I would suggest making a script that installs everything you need. 
Then use that script each time you reinstall Linux.


  Some package managers offer a way to install the build dependencies 
for a package.  E.g. on Ubuntu/Debian, the following will install 
everything you need to build rosegarden:


  sudo apt build-dep rosegarden

[Rosegarden-user] Installing RoseGarden 17.04

To Rosegarden Enlistees:

I have been having a difficult time installing the latest Rosegarden and
revisit this issue periodically every few months. I had a  similar output
for different "cmake,'' attempts, id'ing the complier, etc. This first
example said I needed the DSSI header, so I installed it. Then I found I
had to install liblo. My question now is, how many modules will I need to
install (e.g. lrdf), while being sure they're done correctly in order to
use Rosegarden? For those who may see things differently:
