[Samba] Cups + Samba + Vista?
I have followed the various guides online for setting up Cups and Samba, to where you can just right click a print and choice connect and the printer just works but then it does not work with Vista. It seems to print out tons of junk. Is there a way to make Vista work with Cups + Samba? -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

[Samba] Trusted to work PDC howto
I have already setup a Samba PDC out of version 3.0.x but it's basically rigged together because I had to use like 3 howtos together to finally figure out what they were actually doing. I have tried much Google searching to find a way better guide, but no luck. Is there a tried and test guide that is referred to all who ask the question? -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
[Samba] Allowing Squid to Authenticate to Samba 3 acting as a PDC.
I know this has been done before, but all the guides I find online seem to tell you how to join Squid to a ADS domain, but many claim it should still work in a Samba3 run domain. I have tried various Google results and no guides seem to work. Is there some known howto that definatly works in this situation? Most guides that I found seem to be outdated and the commands no longer work at times. >From what I did manage, I just got Samba on the Squid machine saying, "Host not configured to be a member server". If I try net join, it's just cannot get password trust or something to that nature. -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
Fwd: [Samba] AD domains
I don't think, but that would be a cool feature. Re: [Samba] Issues with samba PDC + WinXP clients
I know this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know of a good LDAP explanation manual or something? I somewhat understand LDAP, but when I look on Google for info, it's always so complicated or something. [Samba] Group Policy - Network Path Not Found - Samba 4
Every time I try to add a Group Policy in to Samba 4, it just says "network path not found" over and over. It does nothing else, but it seems like it does create a few policy directories, but that may just be normal, I don't know. Is there some special things, you have to do, to use Group Policy on Samba 4? -- "Let God be with you." -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
[Samba] Group Policy in Samba 4 Alpha 1, not available?
I got Samba 4 Alpha 1 up and running nice and smoothly. I followed the wiki instructions for group policy but when I right click the Organizational Unit, it doesn't not seem to have Group Policy in the properties. Also, the latest Samba 4 just seems to crash MMC, so I can't really try it with the latest. I'm trying Alpha 2 though.
