 SOrry I didnt get back to you. Here is my swat config file:
 service swat
 {
port = 901
socket_type  = stream
wait = no
only_from= 127.0.0.1
user = root
server   = /usr/sbin/swat
log_on_failure   += USERID
disable  = yes
 }

Do you notice disable above? You've told xinetd to disable Swat. Set
this to no and HUP xinetd.

Please don't reply to me privately, reply to the list - others might
