On-Site PeopleSoft Application Developer

Senior Level - Minimum 4 years relevant experience

Will hire at least 2 PeopleSoft developers, possibly more



*Mandatory Qualifications:*

*-Minimum 4 years relevant experience in the following areas:*

*-experience in CRM, HCM or experience in both*

*-Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining PeopleSoft
applications using the following toolsets:  Application Engine, Application
Packages, Component Interface, SQR, Application Messaging, and XML;*

*-Demonstrated experience implementing or maintaining applications using
Oracle Database 10g or higher;*

*-Thorough understanding of PeopleTools 8.53 or more, PeopleCode is a plus;*

*-Demonstrated experience in an IT application development environment
supporting a public pension system; PUBLIC PENSION EXPERIENCE IS NOT
MANDATORY*

*-Demonstrated experience working in a team environment; and*

*-Demonstrated experience working and collaborating with IT consultants.*



Job Duties:

-Under the direction of the Application Development Supervisor, the
Application Developer will work closely with the Team and will be
responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

-Develop and track progress against project plans, schedules and events

-Work with the Application Development Supervisor and Application
Development staff and the team to execute a work plan to meet the goals and
monitor progress to ensure that the project is completed successfully

-Participate with Application Development staff in activities, meet
contractual obligations as agreed to by Project managers, report project
status to the Application Development Supervisor on a regular basis, and
respond quickly to management questions and concerns

-Analyze and develop the System (PeopleSoft and other Oracle products)
using tools available (e.g., PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQL, SQR, Unix
Scripting, COBOL, Phire Architect or Stat) in coordination with selected
implementation vendor

-Review vendor work products and take corrective action when necessary

-Work with vendors and the Application Development Supervisor to manage
efforts to explore and develop the functional business requirements,
processes and rules that will contribute to how the replacement system works

-Work closely with Legacy and CIO staff to ensure that they are consulted
and understand the full impact of system application enhancements as they
relate to the Client environment

-Work closely with the other Application Development staff and vendor to
coordinate data analysis, data mapping, data classification, data
conversion and data bridging activities in support of the phased rollout
plan

-Assist the Application Development Supervisor in the review of any change
orders that are developed after performing a full cost/benefit analysis of
potential changes

-Provide assistance to vendor-led development of a business function help
desk to assist business staff during functional roll-outs and beyond

-Participate in the collaboration among vendor, Business and Application
Development staff to communicate evolving business requirements for work
processes, detail design testing, training and roll-out; also, assist in
the design and implementation of a framework for managing the capture,
documentation and ongoing transfer of business knowledge

-Participate in the collaboration between vendor and Application
Development staff to develop and implement standards for future development
and on-going maintenance of the System

-Participate in the collaboration among vendor, Business and Application
Development staff to develop interfaces with external stakeholders (e.g.,
employers, public retirement systems, unions, IRS, etc.) using various
methods (e.g., portal, secure FTP, etc.)

-Participate in the integration of the System with internal Client
applications that are not changing as a result of this project, including
but not limited to General Ledger, SQL Server, FileNet and Lotus Notes
Email in coordination with Client selected implementation vendor

6 Months

 

*  Minimum of 6 years programming experience developing with
PeopleTools.

*  Minimum of 3 years programming experience developing with PeopleTools
at release levels 8.3 or higher in PeopleSoft Base Benefits or Benefits
Administration.  

*  Minimum of 1 year of experience in PeopleSoft Base Benefits or
Benefits Administration developing with PeopleTools at release levels PT
8.46 or higher.

*  One or more years experience programming with PeopleTools developing
highly customized PeopleSoft Base Benefits or Benefits Administration
applications at release levels of 8.x or higher.   

*One or more years experience programming with PeopleTools
developing highly customized PeopleSoft Base Benefits or Benefits
Administration applications at release levels of 9.x or higher.  

*Significant technical experience, in which the main focus of the
assignment involved the analytical and technical tasks required to perform
one or more PeopleSoft Application and/or Tools upgrades from PeopleTools
Application release levels of 8.x to a PeopleTools Application release level
of 9.x of a highly customized PeopleSoft Application where the
customizations were integrated with delivered processing as part of the
upgrade process.  Be prepared to describe the specific experience.  

*Minimum of 4 years of programming experience developing with
PeopleTools at release levels 8.3 or higher in PeopleSoft Base Benefits or
Benefits Administration.  (10 points). 

*Minimum of 4 years experience using SQL against a relational
database to support PeopleSoft related tasks. (10 points). 

*  One or more years experience working in a UNIX environment. 

*  Minimum of 1 year technical development experience developing web
applications using ColdFusion MX as a front-end to an Oracle Database.   

*  Minimum of 2 years experience developing programs using SQR.  

*  Experience with two or more PeopleSoft projects which required
coding, testing and implementation activities. 

*  Minimum of 1 year programming experience developing with PeopleTools
at release 8.3 or higher in the PeopleSoft Monitor Health and Safety module.


*  Minimum of 6 months technical experience with processing built to
support a Medicare Secondary Payer Voluntary Agreement (MSPVA) with the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) associated with a
PeopleSoft Base Benefits or Benefits Administration application. 

*  Minimum of 3 years experience working with an Oracle database at
Oracle Release 9 or higher.
