   Hi list and Dameon,
Was mulling this posting over and came to the conclusion it was
confusing. We can`t mix H2O2 up with Ozone in our thoughts.
I think most of us know that H2O2 is Hydrogen Peroxide and that Ozone
is O3. Both have been used to sterilize water. Three per cent H2O2 is
used as a mild antiseptic,a deoderizer,a germicide, and of course a air
bleach. A 30% solution is used as a lab oxidizing agent. A 90% H2O2 is
used in explosives and rocket fuel. H2O2 is used to make polymers for
*cold rubber* which is used to make long lasting (high mileage) tires.
Its effective action as a bactericidal agent is questionable. Its
 nontoxic.
Now Ozone (O3) is quite toxic and used primarily as an industrial
bleach. Its a strong oxidizing agent and used to bleach colored
substances to colorless compounds, such as oils, waxes and fabrics.
Silver, which is normally not oxidized by most things is readily
oxidized by Ozone (blackened). Natural rubber becomes hard and brittle
when ozone
attacts it. It is sometimes used to purify air and sterilize water but
it attacts everything around it (the equipment) causing a lot of
corrosion and equipment failures and toxic releases. That makes it not
economical to use and hazardous to have around.

   Bless you all Bob Lee

 Hi John,
Your question is: Is it better to use?
Your original question was: What is deionized water,(?)
Is it (as) good to drink as (compared) to
  regular distilled water?
Its your choice John, there is no such thing as better, its all in what
you want your water to be. If you have clean ,sterile, deionized water
and want to drink it ,thats fine. If you have clean, sterile, deionized
distilled water and you want to drink it,thats fine. Its your choice. If
your water can only claim its deionized and thats all its got going for
it I`d pass on it. Thats my choice. You make your own choice. :-)

  Hi Dameon,
There are many ways of sterilizing water. Steam distilling is one of
them. Its convenient to sterilize at the same time we purify the water.
The purpose of triple distilling is not to sterilize water. Some
industrial applications require ultra pure water. The making of IC chips
require cleaning between layer depositions, this requires triple
distilled water. Triple distilling is a special process, you don`t do it
at home. Its done under a vacuum and the distillate never comes in
contact with the atmosphere. It has zero contaminates in it.
Adding H2O2 is another way to sterilize water ,but not very popular
because its hazardous. It will not clean the water either. Then you
would have to deionize it after Ozoning it. :-)

  Hi John,
Good question. Deionized water and distilled water are NOT the same
thing. Regular water can be deionized by running it thru an activated
charcoal filter, its still not pure or pathogenically safe to
drink. Deionized water means it has been given an equal number of
H+ and OH- ions ,in other words its neutral in the PH scale.
Distilled water is usually made PH neutral (deionized) by passing it
thru an activated charcoal filter. The SEARS distiller does that.
Deionization does not make water safe to drink or clean, distilling
will make the water clean (pure) and safe to drink ( sterile).
There were postings on PH. They can be reposted if anyone wants them.

Dear Debbie, and all,
I too use CS for my Pug dogs, and just yesterday have given some to a Lady
Gouldian Finch hen, who may have either a lung infection, or lung sac mites.
Already I see improvement! I hope to save her, as she is not only valuable
and very beautiful, I just plain like her! I just bought her a new hubby at
the big twice a year Birdmart in LA yesterday, he is also gorgeous! I spoke
to a breeder there who also uses CS for all his animals!
I`ll keep you posted on the Lady`s progress...
Marsha
PS, The Lady`s babies, four of them, have been adopted by a pair of Parson`s
Finches, since she was too ill to feed them. This is a very rare and amazing
occurance!

I have used the CS on dogs internally and externally. I have used it on

Livestock

Does anyone have any information on using CS on livestock? Specifically,
llamas, goats, and chickens. I much rather use something other than
antibiotics and medicated feeds.
