Hi Dan...she is drinking the CS guzzling it down in fact. I put a few grains of ormus into the water with a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide just for good.measure. The other two are very interested in drinking.ittoo. Funny you should say that about turning blue...one of the girls does lay blue eggs. She is an Arucana. I'll let you know if they get any bluer. RE: CSHas anyone treated birds with CS?
Here's a good one. My next door neighbor had a good size flock and they all developed some malady that made their heads droop to one side or the other. I gave her a couple of gallons of 25-30PPM to put in the waterers. Within several days they were all OK. Re: CSHas anyone treated birds with CS?
Try a table spoon per 8oz of bragg apple cider vinegar in her water. If she will not drink it back off to a teaspoon per 8oz of water. My avian vet actually suggested this as it can sometimes cure intestinal bacterial infections as well and can sometimes help cure sinus infections in humans. Putting a drop of saline solution in each nostril a few times a day may help too. Apple cider vinegar is often used in organic chicken operations since they cannot use antibiotics. Hope it isn't swine flu. As far as CS for chickens go, I have no idea if it's safe or not. HI Bob, thanks for the reply, yes, I'm sure it's safe too but don't know anything about bird flu just what I hear on news media which I mostly dismiss as fear mongering. We have a lot of moskitoes here this year, don't know if that might have anything to do with it. we had WestNile here a few years ago but no idea if that affects chickens. I'm going to try giving he some drops orally, just wondered if maybe I should give her the antibiotics at the same time?
