Hello Spooks,
I haven't heard Sam here in the Boston area yet, but I'll take some of the 
other comments that he may be audible here sometimes and try 10500 after local 
sunset.  For now, the only Yosemite Sam I've heard was the real thing on 
Saturday mornings in the 1970's.

Try checking for Sam on 10500 around 6:00pm. I'm 15 miles north of
Boston, and he's audible at that point in time, but very, very weak.
My setup is an Icom 746 with a 70' longwire antenna. Given how weak he
is on this setup, you may hear him stronger if you have a directional
outdoor HF antenna, or you may not hear him at all if your antenna is
indoors.
