Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?
linux itself updates all the needed certificates if you updating your linux. you need to add perls ssl support (IO::Socket::SSL) for your OS as well. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS linux certificates... ?
Running LMS on linux, installed about two years ago into docker container. Today, i start getting resets trying to play radio stations where the m3u point to https:// URLs. Of course, these URLs work fine from other players. So i suspect there is some expiry of certificates happening. Where would i find the certs used by LMS, trustpool for the remote sites as well as the local signed certificate used to connect ? Any recipes for how to most easily update them. Ideally some script to do this ongoingly... ? Wouldn't want to reinstall the whole bloody docker container. The whole point of creating a container was to get rid of ongoing reinstall trouble. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Library Problem
I use dbpoweramp for tagging, and Tag & Rename as well. Tag & Rename is very powerful, it lets you rename the file based upon track tags and vice versa. Also has a good text substitute feature which I have found to be very helpful. I have run into the same issue that you have where an artist listing appears in an alphabetical location. It usually is due to the an error in one of the sorting artist fields in a compilation CD, or not checking off the 'compilation' tag. I use 'Various Artists' for the album artist name in compilations, although I know that many prefer to leave it blank. stereoptic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53162 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108415 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Library Problem
That was a great help! I was not aware of the extended tags. A coulpe of quick follow ups though. Is it best to have the Artist Album Sort tag blank or populated? Also, is there a tag editing program for windows that you would recommend? bitterroots's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67665 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108415 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Switching to LogitechMediaServer for Qnap x86_64
By the looks of it, I haven't heard the last of permissions just yet. 1. But first things first: > digimaster only forgot the 755 in the first chmod command. > Thanks karlek you`re so right. > it`s chmod -R 0775 (directoryname) So glad I'm not the only one getting confused by it. :) But to get this right: Here: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer I did this Code: chmod -R 0775 SlimServer/ 0775 and not 0755, right? 2. When I copy a file from my windows system to the NAS share, it has different permissions and is invisible for squeezeboxserver. /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Multimedia/Music Here I did this yesterday, as suggested: Code: chmod -R 0775 . All files have the permissions 0775 now. Furthermore, they are owned by me and are in the group administrators. Now I copy a folder from my windows system to that location. It automatically gets the permissions 0770. It is owned by me and is in the group everyone. Also, I'm with karlek here, that LMS should only get write access on the playlist folders. How to I copy to the share without having to alter the permissions afterwards every time? And to show off my confusion even more: In QNAP's ControlPanel there's a setting "Edit Shared Folder Permissions". Are these the same permissions set my chmod? My user and the admin user have RW access, one user is denied access. I'm sorry, I'm a scientist, not a doctor, Jim... dolodobendan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67663 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108420 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
