If your library is defined by a plugin, the author would have to add support for it. But there's a caveat: updating libraries on the fly can, depending on the complexity of the build process, take a toll on the overall performance, as it would be run in the server process. Do the new piCorePlayer SD card and full LMS install, etc. on the new rPi. 3. After step 2, then Stop LMS on the piCorePlayer webGUI, then paste the old "pref" and "cache" folders over to the new rPi in the correct location. This has worked for me in the past, although I recall that there are a few things I still have to manually set after the fact. As an aside, to move from a pi II to an IV, what files would I need to copy to the new machine in order to retain MSB, Spotify and last.FM credentials? A new scan is fine, but I'd rather not have to find the above settings, as the installation is at a buddy's place and he's likely forgotten them. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Control Panel for LMS is not starting up after upgrade to 8.0.1, when LMS is running
Ahh. So I guess it might be time to retire it entirely? I've already stopped it from starting on my installation. The only thing I thought I needed it for was configuring the server whether or not to start on boot as a service. Making the command line for that more obvious (perhaps at the end of the install process? Or a link to documentation in the web ui?) would solve that. bstrulo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113424 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Control Panel for LMS is not starting up after upgrade to 8.0.1, when LMS is running
Are there any step-by-step instructions for setting up a development environment to build the program? I'm not confident but I do have some coding experience and I can easily reproduce the problem so I might be able to help. Build the control panel? Unfortunately it requires a commercial application (Perl Development Kit) from ActiveState which they've stopped developing. And libraries which are no longer available in their initial location... The good new is: you don't really need it. Anything it does you can do using either the web UI, or worst case some not too complicated command lines (for the service setup). ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
