If you never want the mail tab bar to be shown, or you want it to be
disabled independently of the browser tab bar, you can apply a user
style like this:

@namespace
url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

@-moz-document url-prefix('chrome://') {

.tabmail-tabs {display: none;}

}

The StyleM extension makes it easy to do this.

Thank you, Dirk, your logic seems infallible!

I guess this means an addition to my UserChrome.js file, that addition
being everything from your "@namespace" to your "display: none;)" right??

The @namespace line would already be in the *userChrome.css* (in the
chrome profile subdirectory) if you had already edited it. You don't
need the @-moz-document line because putting the style in userChrome.css
means the same. You can check the -example files in the same directory
for usage (userChrome -> internal browser styles; userContent -> website
styles).

With StyleM, and its predecessors, the presence of the line
"@-moz-document url-prefix('chrome://')" identifies a user style
("affects the user interface"), vs "affects ".

I'm sure it will help, thanks again, Dirk

SeaMonkey extensions are now hosted at

Are you asking when SeaMonkey will be able to use Web Extensions?

"WebExtension support in SeaMonkey is tracked in bug 1320556. As of now
working on this has not started.

This would be needed for a ESR60 based SeaMonkey 2.57.
Some backports for adding Web extension dictionaries to 2.53 have
been done but more is needed."

Problems with SeaMonkey 2.53.4 under OS: Big Sur

2020-12-28 Thread Michael Nowak via support-seamonkey
Dear all,

I have some problems with SeaMonkey 2.53.4 (German) under MacOS: Big Sur 11.0.1
(German) on MacBook Pro 13“, Version June 2020 with 32 GB Main Memory and 1 TB
SSD.

Everything was fine under MacOS: Catalina 10.15.7 on 14/11/2020 on this
Computer until I installed MacOS Big Sur 11.0.1 on 14/11/2020.
I installed Big Sur on 14/11/2020 successfully: Adobe Cloud ok, CleanMyMac ok,
My Virus Scanner: ok, all other Apps okbut SeaMonkey ask me: Do you allow to
open Documents? I clicked ok,
nevertheless
very many windows and especially Mail are blank,
very many dialog box are blank, too,but react if I click in the right down
corner on white dialog box area and Closing often a window.
Only the Browser Window showed text, but dialog boxes are blank on it.
I used Netscape Mail and all follow up versions until SeaMonkey With Mail
option. All my eMails I handle under SeaMonkey now.
My whole memory of eMails since 1996 I can not momentarily access, anymore.
I am really feeling very bad and I am highly stressed, because I am not able to
change the situation with SeaMonkey to better by myself.
I looked to some newsgroup for SeaMonkey Tools and searched with Keyword Big
Sur Apple and found nothing.
I hope you can initiate in the SeaMonkey community actions that SeaMonkey
2.53.? Version support MacOS Big Sur 11.0.x fully in very short period from now.
Best Regards / Mit herzlichen GrüßenMichael Nowak

Seamonkey OSX Compatibility

2020-12-28 Thread Franz Florian

Good afternoon!

I would like to ask you which latest Version of Seamonkey is running on Mac OSX
10.4.11 and 10.5.8 (Tiger and Leopard).

I am a satisfied user of this browser since there are no problems with Qicktime
and other movie formats.

It would be fine if there is a compatibility list available.

Kind regards!

dear seamonkey team, i found that since a shift from ff 52 you browser became a

List of "found messages" needed

2020-12-28 Thread Richard Owlett

The "Search Messages" tool is powerful and convenient.
It can *display* (on screen) attributes of those messages.
It apparently *CAN NOT* save a text file of those displayed attributes.

For my current project, I need a two column list of "Subject" and "Date"
of the found messages. Long-term I can see creating a CSV formatted file.

Does a tool exist?
TIA

I can only recommend to everyone to try the beta. If it does not crash and
burn for you in the first 2 minutes it should be a smooth ride. I updated
around 10 vms and different Windows PCs and laptops to it in the last week and
did not encounter any problemes in testing. This usually goes for every of our
betas these days. When the final version arrives it can be installed over it.
