The problem has gotten worse this AM (Win 7, SM 2.24, 64bit) and two windows 
bounce back and forth from
one to the other!  Very weird and sorry I don't have a specific set of URLs, but it appears from my 'history' list that it 
had to do with FaceBook!

More info: it has to do with clicking a link in email which opens any browser 
tab.
Seems to be highly repeatable, e.g.  
http://www.boston.com/ae/tv/blog/2014/02/the_tonight_sho.html

If I open a link in a new window or new private window and touch a key I 
get a search box for Quick find (links only) in the new window.


Adblock Plus is the only extension I have installed in my SeaMonkey.

Yes, I think I have been seeing this also. SM 2.23 on Windows 7 x64.
