Tim, have you tried to contact the SASOL Company in South Africa? They are the big synthetic petroleum from coal company there. I guess that they might have methanol. And maybe some other alcohols. Another possibility would be for you to consider using ethanol (ethyl alcohol) instead of methanol, for which you have info in the biofuel group. Good luck.
