Re: [Tagging] Tagging Parklets
No OSM wiki page... It may be best to tag as; leisure=park park=parklet As a parklet is simply a small park. This tagging will get it rendered, contain the information and be 'structured' for those that like that system. On 9/05/2016 10:24 PM, Marc Gemis wrote: That's from the wikipedia page. The wikipedia article seems citing/adding a lot of "requirements" from specific city projects (like San Francisco), that might not be wanted in a "generic" tag (if we are to add a specific tag for something like this). Also, there are some contradictions within the same article, e.g. this one doesn't satisfy the requirement to be on the street (it is on the pavement): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parklet#/media/File:%D0%9F%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%BA%D0%BB%D0%B5%D1%82_%D0%86%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE-%D0%A4%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BA%D1%96%D0%B2%D1%81%D1%8C%D0%BA_01.jpg Cheers, Martin ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging ___ Tagging mailing list Tagging@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging

How would you decide whether something is a parklet or a "true" linear park (along the road), urban green not worth of being called "parklet", just usual "sidewalk furniture" (e.g. benches, trees, bushes, flowers, bicycle stands ...) ? What does it mean a "parklet uses several parking spaces"? Is this only to be used for spots where there once was a parking space before someone set up a bench or planted a tree? What if the tree was already planned before and/or there haven't ever been parking spaces at the street? Of course, any (leisure) park will "occupy" a lot of parking spaces anyway (i.e. place where someone could park his vehicle if it wasn't a park).
